Tata Nexon and Nexon EV Dark: Everything you need to know

Here are the starting prices for the Nexon, Nexon EV, Harrier, and Safari Dark Editions.

Model Price
Tata Nexon Dark Rs 11.45 lakh
Tata Nexon EV Dark Rs 19.49 lakh
Tata Harrier Dark Rs 19.99 lakh

Tata Nexon Dark (ICE) is based on the Creative and Fearless trims. It gets an all-black colour theme for the exterior along with exclusive ‘Dark’ branding. Since ‘Fearless’ is a top-spec trim, it ensures that the Dark Edition of the SUV is available with top-of-the-line features. The special edition SUV is equipped with wireless charging and a ‘hidden until lit’ capacity touch panel for climate control. The black leatherette seats get special ‘Dark’ branding as well.

Things remain unchanged under the hood as the Tata Nexon Dark continues to be offered with the same 2 powertrain options as the rest of the lineup – a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The turbo petrol engine puts out 120hp and 170Nm while the diesel engine produces 115hp and 260Nm. Both engines can be mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT gearbox. The petrol engine also gets 7-speed DCT and 5-speed manual transmission options.

Tata Nexon EV Dark is based on the top-spec Empowered + LR trim of the SUV. It also gets the all-black treatment inside and out. The LR variant is equipped with a 40.5kWh battery pack which delivers a driving range of 465km on a full charge. It produces a maximum power output of 145hp and 215Nm of torque.

Commenting on the launch, Mr Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said, “The #DARK edition has truly captured the imagination of the new generation, reflecting their evolving tastes and preferences. Flaunting a captivating exterior design and a feature rich interior, the new #DARK family comprising of the Nexon.ev, Nexon, Harrier and the Safari are back and are better than ever. We are also excited to bring to you our newest campaign, especially conceptualised for this range which is sure to evoke a sense of exhilaration and empowerment, inviting individuals to explore the unparalleled capabilities of the new #DARK range, synonymous with luxury and superior craftsmanship.”
