Citroen C3 Blu Edition launched in India, discounts offered on other offerings

Citroen India has launched a new ‘Blu Edition’ for the C3 hatchback and eC3 EV to celebrate its third anniversary in the country. The automaker is also offering significant discounts on the Citroen C3 hatchback and C3 Aircross SUV. These discounts will expire at the end of the month. The eC3 and C5 Aircross have not received any discounts this month.

Citroen C3: What’s new on the Blu Edition?

The Blu Edition of the Citroen C3 hatchback and eC3 EV brings a new colour option to the two cars. The new Cosmo Blue paint scheme can be had in a monotone or dual-tone theme. The Blu Edition also gets some special cosmetic graphics. Feature updates on the special edition hatchback include illuminated cupholders, an air purifier, sill plates, neck rest, seatbelt cushions, and customised seat covers.

As a part of the third-anniversary celebrations, Citroen C3 and C3 Aircross are getting discounts of up to Rs 1 lakh. The Citroen C3 range now starts at Rs 5.99 lakh, after a discount of Rs 17,000. Meanwhile, prices for the C3 Aircross start at Rs 8.99 lakh, after a discount of Rs 1 lakh. These discounts will expire at the end of April. The regular price of Citroen C3 is Rs 6.16 lakh while the C3 Aircross is priced at Rs 10 lakh.

There are two powertrain options on offer for the Citroen C3 – a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. The former generates a maximum power output of 82hp and 115Nm of torque, while the latter puts out 110hp and 190Nm.

The C3 Aircross SUV is powered by the same 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that is found on the Citroen C3 hatchback. This engine produces a maximum power output of 110hp and 190Nm of torque. The midsize SUV is available in three trims and two seating options. The automaker recently added an automatic gearbox option for the C3 Aircross.

As mentioned earlier, these discounts will expire at the end of April. The total amount of the discount package may vary depending on the location, dealership, and availability of stock. Citroen plans on adding an automatic gearbox option on the C3 hatchback lineup next month. Later this year, the automaker will launch the C3X crossover.
