Citroen C3, Basalt, and Aircross Dark Editions launched in India

Citroen has launched Dark Edition models for 3 of its offerings in India – Citroen C3, Basalt, and Aircross. The Dark Edition models are based on the top-spec variants of their respective cars. They feature an all-black theme inside and out. No mechanical changes have been made to the special edition models.

Here is the price list for the Citroen C3 Dark Edition.

The Dark Edition of Citroen C3 is available in a Perla Nera Black colour theme. Its grille, lettering, logo, and side mouldings are blacked out. Additionally, the hatchback received special ‘Dark Edition’ badging below the OVRMs. Inside, the Citroen C3 Dark Edition receives a carbon black finish on the dashboard, seats, steering wheel, and centre console. This is contrasted by Lava Red stitching. The special edition hatchback comes with ambient lighting, footwell lighting, leatherette seats, illuminated sill plates, a leatherette finish on the instrument panel, and a seatbelt cushion.

The Basalt Dark Edition demands a premium of Rs 23,000 over the Turbo Max variant.

The Dark Edition of the Aircross SUV demands a premium of Rs 22,500 over the Turbo Max variant.

The Basalt and Aircross Dark Edition get similar upgrades as their C3 counterpart. They flaunt an all-black front facia along with blacked-out lettering, logo, and side mouldings. They receive the ‘Dark Edition’ badging as well. Inside, the two cars have an all-black dashboard, gear lever, and seating. This is contrasted by Lava Red stitching. The dashboard is now covered in leatherette material.

Final Thoughts

Citroen is now accepting bookings for the three Dark Edition models. Additionally, the Citroen C3’s engine has been updated to be E20 compliant. The fuel tank capacity of the hatchback has been expanded from 30 litres to 45 litres. The mid-spec Feel (O) variant of the C3 has been updated with turn indicators on the OVRMs and adjustable headrests for the driver and passenger seats.
