Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is gearing up to launch the 2nd-generation model of its compact SUV, Venue, on November 4. The next-gen Hyundai Venue was unveiled last week. Since then, the automaker has been revealing the features, safety specs, and other important details about the SUV. It has now confirmed the output specs of the Venue’s 3 engine options. Bookings for the SUV are currently open, with the token amount set at Rs 25,000.

The new Hyundai Venue comes in 3 engine options – Kappa 1.2-litre MPi petrol, Kappa 1.0-litre turbo GDi petrol, and U2 1.5-litre CRDi Diesel. The 1.2-litre petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 82hp at 6,000rpm and 114.7Nm torque at 4,200rpm. This engine can be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 118hp at 6,000rpm and 172Nm of torque at 1,500-4,000rpm. This engine can be mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT transmission with Idle Stop and Go (ISG).
Lastly, the 1.5-litre diesel engine of the Hyundai Venue produces a maximum power output of 114hp at 4,000rpm and 250Nm torque at 1,500-2,750rpm. This engine can be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox or the newly introduced 6-speed automatic transmission. The power and torque output of all three engines are identical to the current-gen model. The SUV is equipped with 3 traction modes – Sand, Mud, and Snow. There are 3 drive modes on board as well – Eco, Normal, and Sport.
The 2025 Venue will be launched in 11 variants across 3 powertrains. These include 7 petrol variants – HX 2, HX 4, HX 5, HX 6, HX 6T, HX 8, HX 10, and 4 diesel variants – HX 2, HX 5, HX 7, HX 10.
When it comes to features, the new Venue packs dual 12.3-inch curved panoramic displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. It is also equipped with ambient lighting, reclining rear seats, rear AC vents, ventilated seating, an electronic parking brake, a Level 2 ADAS package, and more.

The current-gen Venue is priced between Rs 7.26 lakh and Rs 12.46 lakh. We expect the prices for the next-gen model to start at Rs 8 lakh. Upon launch, it will continue to rival the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
