Honda Elevate: Sales performance in FY2024

The demand for Honda Elevate in India has subsided since its launch in September 2023. The midsize SUV averaged 4,500 sales for the first five months after its launch. In FY2024, it has averaged 1,812 sales per month, achieving 5,435 sales in total. Hyundai Creta remains the most popular midsize SUV in the country by a long margin, accumulating a total of 46,402 sales in the same time period.

While Honda Elevate has shown an average performance domestically, its exports are a completely different story. In FY2025 alone, Honda has shipped 10,659 units of the Elevate, grabbing the first spot in the export rankings. Volkswagen Taigun is right behind the Elevate with 5,466 units exported. Honda plans to export between 20,000 – 30,000 units of the Elevate to Japan by the end of the year – a target it is on track to achieving.

Honda Elevate is sold in Japan as the WR-V. The WR-V sports the same engine as the Elevate. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 121hp and 145Nm of torque. It can be mated to a CVT gearbox. The India-spec Elevate also gets the option of a 6-speed manual gearbox. Manual variants of Honda Elevate offer a fuel efficiency of 15.31kmpl while the CVT variants put up a mileage of 16.92kmpl.

In India, the midsize SUV rivals the likes of Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos, Citroen C3 Aircross, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
