Audi India has opened the booking window for its upcoming SUV. Buyers can book their model of the third-generation Audi Q3 for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. The bookings can be made on the Audi India website, myAudi Connect app, or at Audi dealerships across the country. The automaker will reveal the pricing next month. The new Q3 gets cosmetic updates and feature additions, but remains unchanged under the hood.

3rd-gen Audi Q3: What’s on offer?
The new Audi Q3 is larger than its previous-generation counterpart in every aspect. It is 4,531mm long, 1,859mm wide, 1,623mm tall, and has a 2,681mm wheelbase. Its front fascia features a wide grille with an all-black look. This piece does not have any chrome elements. Flanking the grille on either side are vertically stacked LED headlamps. Sitting above the headlamps are sleek LED DRLs that also function as turn indicators. The front bumper has a massive air dam with a silver skid plate just below it. This skid plate has a ridged pattern.
Along the sides, the premium SUV gets a new design for its 18-inch alloy wheels. The pull-type door handles are mounted in their traditional positions. The beltline has an L-shaped chrome trim. At the back, the SUV gets an illuminated Audi logo. The LED tail lamps follow the design language of the DRLs up front. A sleek LED bar runs across the tailgate. The bumper is integrated with a silver skid plate.
Inside, the 3rd-gen Q3 gets a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system fused with an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The steering wheel has a new ‘rounded square’ design. The drive selector in the console has been replaced by a stalk behind the steering wheel. Other features of the SUV include a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, wireless charging, a powered tailgate, and more.
Things remain the same under the hood, as the 3rd-gen Audi Q3 retains the 2-litre, 4-cylinder direct-injection turbo-petrol engine from the previous-generation model. This engine generates a maximum power output of 204hp and 320Nm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The SUV can go from 0-100km/h in 7.1 seconds, with its top speed capped at 229km/h.

Final Thoughts
As mentioned earlier, prices for the new Audi Q3 will be revealed next month. We expect it to be priced above Rs 55 lakh. The automaker has not confirmed a Sportback model for the SUV yet. Upon launch, the Q3 will rival the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA in India.
