2026 Renault Kwid: Everything you need to know

Here is the price list for the 2026 Kwid.

Trim 5MT 5AMT
Evolution Rs 4.53 lakh Rs 4.90 lakh
Climber Rs 5.15 lakh Rs 5.61 lakh

The Renault Kwid facelift stands at dimensions of 3,731mm x 1,579mm x 1,474mm and has a 2,422mm wheelbase. It clears the ground at 184mm. In terms of design updates, the hatchback gets new 3D Renault badges, dual-tone plastic covers for the steel wheels, and a new font and finish for the Kwid lettering on the tailgate. Apart from these updates, no changes have been made to the vehicle. It retains its halogen headlamps and eyebrow LED DRLs.

The big change inside the 2026 Renault Kwid comes in the form of the 3-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls. It looks similar to the one on the Renault Kiger. The touchscreen infotainment system and semi-digital instrument cluster with MID have been retained from the outgoing model. There is wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity on board. Wireless smartphone connectivity is still missing on the hatchback. The black upholstery has yellow highlights, similar to the older model. Other features include power windows, manual air conditioning, pollen filter, USB and aux-in ports, remote keyless entry with central locking, day-night IVRM, electrically adjustable OVRM, and more.

On the safety front, the hatchback gets dual front airbags on the Evolution trim and 6 airbags on the Climber trim. Standard safety features across both trims include Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), 3-point seatbelts for all seats, reverse parking sensors, ABS, EBD with brake assist, speed alert warning, Hill Start Assist (HSA), pedestrian protection, and more.

No changes have been made under the hood of the Kwid facelift. It continues to be powered by the 1.0-litre petrol engine from the outgoing model. This engine generates a maximum power output of 68hp and 92.5Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automated manual gearbox. The hatchback is not available with a factory-fitted CNG kit, but buyers can get a retrofit installed at the dealership level for an additional Rs 70,450.

Final Thoughts

Buyers get to choose from 4 dual-tone colour options – Fiery Red, Zanskar Blue, Ice Cool, and Moonlight Silver. While the starting price of the Kwid has gone up, it is only because Renault has ditched its entry-level and mid-spec variants. The hatchback rivals the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and S Presso in India.
