MG Majestor gets a Rs 1.50 lakh price hike

MG Majestor broke cover in India back in February 2026 and went on sale in May. At the time of its debut, MG Motor announced 2 trims for the SUV – Sharp and Savvy. However, at the time of launch, the Majestor arrived in a fully-loaded Savvy trim spanning 6/7-seat and 2WD/4WD variants. Less than three months after its launch, MG Motor has hiked the price of the SUV.

Here is the new price list for the MG Majestor.

As you can see, only the 2WD variants of the MG Majestor have been affected by the price hike. Previously priced at Rs 40.99 lakh, they now fetch Rs 42.49 lakh. The price of the Savvy 4WD AT variant remains unchanged at Rs 44.99 lakh.

 

The Majestor stands at dimensions of 5,046mm x 2,016mm x 1,870mm. It has a 2,950mm wheelbase. The bold Mosiac Matrix grille on the front fascia is flanked on either side by Dragon Eye LED DRLs and vertically stacked tri-beam headlamps. The profile reveals 19-inch alloy wheels, thick wheel arches, a prominent shoulder line, and a strong silhouette. At the back, the bumper houses a skid plate and dual exhaust pipes.

When it comes to features, the Majestor packs a free-standing 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an equally large digital driver’s display. There’s support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include a 12-speaker JBL sound system, a tri-zone automatic climate control system, third-row AC vents, a panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, a 220V power outlet, wireless charging (2 pads), an air filter, and 75+ iSMART-connected features.

The all-black cabin has an enticing look. There’s a grab handle on the passenger’s side of the dashboard. The 2WD variants of the SUV come in 6- and 7-seat layouts. The leather seats have massage and ventilation functions. The third row seats can be collapsed to extend the boot space capacity from 343 litres to 1,350 litres.

 

 

Powering the MG Majestor is the 2-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that did duty on the Gloster SUV. It generates a maximum power output of 215hp and 479Nm of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The SUV is available in 4×2 and 4×4 configurations.

Final Thoughts

The Majestor continues to rival the Toyota FortunerSkoda KodiaqMahindra Alturas G4Isuzu MU-XJeep Meridian, and Kia Carnival in India. MG Motor India will likely hike the prices of its other offerings in the coming weeks due to rising input costs.
