Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced that it will offer 6 airbags across all variants of the Glanza. This gives a big boost to Toyota Glanza’s safety, as its entry-level and mid-spec variants were previously not available with this feature. The automaker has also announced a ‘Prestige’ package for the hatchback. Earlier this week, the Prestige package was added to the Urban Cruiser HyRyder.

The MY2025 Toyota Glanza has been equipped with 6 airbags across all variants, bumping the hatchback’s safety quotient. Other safety features include ABS with EBD, a speed alert system, an automatic door lock, parking sensors, hill assist, and more. The hatchback comes with a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, a Heads-Up display and more. It will also come with Toyota’s i-Connected platform, which offers additional connected car tech options like remote access and control, find my car, tow alert, and geo-fencing.
The new Prestige package for the Toyota Glanza is available till July 31. It adds the following accessories to the hatchback:
Things remain the same under the hood as the Toyota Glanza continues to be powered by the 1.2-litre K Series petrol engine. This is the same engine that powers the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. It generates a maximum power output of 90hp and 113Nm of torque. It can be linked to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. However, the Prestige package is only available with the manual variants.
In a CNG configuration, the Toyota Glanza generates a maximum power output 77hp and 98.5Nm. It offers a fuel efficiency of 30.61km/kg. The CNG hatchback has a 55-litre tank in the boot and weighs 48kg more than the petrol model.

Despite all the changes, Toyota has not raised the prices for the Glanza. The hatchback’s lineup starts at Rs 6.90 lakh and goes up to Rs 10 lakh. It rivals the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Altroz, and Hyundai i20.
