Tata Tiago EV facelift spotted testing

The Tata Tiago EV celebrated its 3-year anniversary in September 2025. Due for a mid-cycle refresh, the test mules of its facelifted model have started popping up on Indian roads. Recent spy shots give a closer look at the electric hatchback’s front fascia and profile. Tata is planning a second-quarter release for its most affordable EV this year.

Tata Tiago EV facelift: What to expect?

The test mules of the Tiago EV facelift that have been spotted so far have been draped in heavy camouflage. The cutouts on the drapes give a glimpse of the hatchback’s LED headlamp setup, which seems to have received some tweaks. The LED DRLs are integrated at the top of these headlamps, while the turn indicators are stacked on the slides. We could not make out the internal elements of the headlamps and DRLs, but we wouldn’t be surprised if they have been refreshed. The grille will get horizontal slats, and the front bumper will get some aesthetic changes.

The profile of the electric hatchback remains unaltered. The alloy wheels of the recent test mule were completely covered, which means a new design could be on its way. Tata may equip the EV with a single-pane sunroof this time. The camouflaged rear section doesn’t give away anything either, although we expect the design of the LED tail lamps to be refreshed as well. Like the front bumper, the rear bumper will also be reworked.

The spy shots don’t reveal any details about the hatchback’s interior. We expect it to get a free-floating 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The steering wheel will get a new design along with an illuminated Tata logo. Other features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, and wireless charging are also expected to make the cut.

Tata has kept a lid on the Tiago EV facelift’s battery and power output specs. The current model comes in 2 battery pack options – 19.2kWh and 24kWh. They offer an MIDC-certified driving range of 250km and 315km, respectively. The real-world range comes out at  168km and 205km, respectively.

Powering the Tata Tiago EV is a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, which delivers a peak power output of 55kW and an instant full torque delivery of 114Nm. The electric hatchback can accelerate from 0-60km/h in 5.7 seconds. There are also two driving modes on offer – City mode and Sport mode, with four further levels of regen settings in each mode.

Final Thoughts

Prices for the current Tata Tiago EV lineup start at Rs 7.99 lakh and go up to Rs 11.14 lakh. It is one of the most affordable all-electric cars in India right now. The facelift model may cost a small premium. Upon launch, it will continue to rival the Citroen eC3 and MG Comet EV.
