Tata Nexon CNG Dark Edition priced at Rs 12.70 lakh

Tata Motors has added the Dark Edition to the Nexon CNG’s lineup. Prices for the Tata Nexon CNG Dark start at Rs 12.70 lakh and go up to Rs 14.70 lakh. It is available in 3 variants. The Dark Edition brings the all-black exterior and interior theme to the CNG powertrain of the SUV. The ICE and EV variants of the Nexon have had Dark Editions since March 2024.

Tata Nexon CNG Dark Edition: What’s new?

Here is the price list for the Tata Nexon CNG Dark Edition.

The Dark Editions of Creative + S and Creative + PS trims cost Rs 40,000 more than their regular CNG counterparts. Meanwhile, the Fearless + PS Dark trim demands a premium of Rs 20,000.

The Tata Nexon CNG Dark gets all-black exteriors, including a blacked-out grille, 16-inch alloy wheels, and skid plates. There is special ‘Dark’ branding on the fender. The Tata logo is finished in dark chrome. The all-black theme extends to the cabin of the SUV. It features black leatherette seating with red stitching and ‘Dark’ branding on the headrests.

The top-spec Fearless + PS trim of the Tata Nexon CNG Dark Edition carries features like dual 10.25-inch displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging. On the safety front, the SUV packs 6 airbags, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), ISOFIX anchorages, a 360-degree camera, and more. CNG-specific safety features on the SUV include Leak Detection, a Fire Protection Device, Thermal Incident Protection, Rear Impact Protection, and more.

The 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine on the Tata Nexon CNG generates a maximum power output of 100hp and 170Nm of torque. The petrol model puts out 120hp. The CNG engine can only be mated with a manual transmission. Tata may introduce an iMT gearbox for the SUV later this year. The Nexon CNG offers a mileage of 24 km/kg. Its fuel tank has a capacity of 60 litres. The boot space capacity is 321 litres.
