Tata Harrier EV: Everything you need to know

The Tata Harrier EV stands at dimensions of 4,607mm x 2,132mm x 1,740mm and has a 2,741mm wheelbase. It is 2mm longer, 210mm wider, and 22mm taller than the ICE model. However, the all-electric Harrier follows the design language of its ICE sibling. It gets a few EV-exclusive changes like a shut-off grille and EV badging. The front bumper design has also been updated. Along the sides, the electric SUV rests on 19-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels. At the back, it gets the ‘Harrier.ev’ badging.

The interior of the Tata Harrier EV is similar to its ICE sibling. It gets a dual-tone dashboard and a four-spoke steering wheel with integrated controls and an illuminated Tata logo. The 14.53-inch touchscreen infotainment system uses the world’s first Samsung Neo QLED automotive display. Other features include a 10-speaker JBL audio system, digital key, smart card, remote key, built-in navigation, memory seating, rear headrests, centre armrest with cupholders, a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, a dual-zone climate control, cooled storage, an air purifier, ambient lighting, 65W wireless charging, and more.

On the safety front, the Tata Harrier EV gets 7 airbags, ESP with i-VBAC, Acoustic Vehicle Alert System, Hill Descent Control, Hill Hold Assist, TPMS, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, a 360-degree camera, and an e-IVRM with a digital video recorder. There’s also a Level 2 ADAS package with over 20 features onboard.

Tata Harrier EV is available in 2 battery pack variants – 65kWh and 75kWh. The 65kWh variants are powered by a single electric motor that’s mounted on the rear axle. This motor generates a maximum power output of 235hp. Meanwhile, the dual motor setup on the 75kWh variants churns out 390hp and 504Nm. These variants can go from 0–100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.

The 75kWh battery pack has an MIDC-certified driving range of 622km. The C75 estimated real-world range of this battery pack is between 480–505km. A 120kW DC fast charger takes almost 25 minutes to charge the battery pack from 20% to 80%. A 7.2kW AC fast charger can take it from 10% to 100% in 10.7 hours. Meanwhile, a 15A plug point takes 29 hours to fully charge the battery pack.
