Prices for Toyota Fortuner, Innova Crysta, and Hycross hiked by up to Rs 74,000

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has hiked the prices for its big SUV and MPV offerings. The GR-S variant of the Toyota Fortuner has received the biggest hike, and now demands a premium of Rs 74,000. The Innova Crysta and Hycross are pricier now, too. Some variants of the Fortuner, Hycross, and Rumion have been discontinued. Prices of other models remain unchanged.

Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition

The Leader variants of the Toyota Fortuner, which were limited edition to begin with, have been discontinued. The SUV comes in diesel and petrol powertrain options. The 2.8-litre diesel engine generates a maximum power output of 201hp and 500Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, and is available in 2WD and 4WD configurations. Meanwhile, the 2.7-litre petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 164hp and 245Nm of torque. It can only be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Toyota Innova Hycross

The entry-level G trim (with 7 and 8-seat configurations) of the Innova Hycross has been discontinued. The MPV is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of 174hp and 205Nm of torque. In a strong hybrid configuration, available only with the top variants, it churns out 184hp. The power is channelled to the wheels through a CVT gearbox. The Hycross offers a fuel economy of 16.13kmpl.

Toyota Innova Crysta

The Innova Crysta is powered by a 2.4-litre diesel engine. This engine can produce a maximum power output of 150hp and 343Nm of torque. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. There are 2 drive modes onboard – Power and Eco.

Final Thoughts

Alongside the price hike, Toyota has also discontinued the entry-level E MT variant of the Rumion. This variant was priced at Rs 9.51 lakh. Prices for the compact MPV now start at Rs 10.44 lakh and go up to Rs 13.62 lakh.
