Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition launched in India

The Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition has been launched in India at the price of Rs 4.30 crore. It demands a premium of Rs 66 lakh over the regular G 63. The bespoke, luxury off-roader is limited to just 30 units. Its styling is inspired by Indian aesthetics. This is the first time in the history of Mercedes that it has restyled its offering exclusively for the Indian market.

Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition: What’s new?

The Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition has been configured in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI). The two exterior Manufaktur paint shade options, Mid Green Magno and Red Magno, are inspired by India’s cultural richness. The spare wheel cover gets an edition-specific logo along with the ‘One of Thirty’ marking to signify its exclusivity. The exterior protective strip has an embedded insignia and ‘Collector’s Edition’ branding.

Inside, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition gets a dual-tone Catalana Biege & Black colour theme. This is matched by a luxurious open-pore walnut wood trim. The grab handle of the SUV can be customised with the buyer’s name – a first for the AMG G 63.

There are no changes under the hood, as the luxury SUV continues to be powered by the 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine. This engine is combined with a 48V mild hybrid system. It generates a maximum power output of 585hp and and 850Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 9-speed DCT gearbox with paddle shifters. The 4Matic system sends the power to all four wheels. The SUV can go from 0-100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds.

Final Thoughts

Bookings for the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition are currently open. The special edition SUV will be made available to the automaker’s top-end customers only. The deliveries will start rolling out in the fourth quarter of 2025.
