Mahindra XUV 3XO EV: Everything you need to know

The XUV 3XO EV looks similar to its ICE sibling. The closed-off grille is finished in the same colour as the rest of the body. Flanking this grille on either side are trapezoid LED headlamps. These headlamps are integrated with boomerang-shaped LED DRLs. The front bumper has been redesigned to distinguish the EV from the ICE model. The profile and rear section of the two SUVs are identical.

The similarities continue inside as well, as the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV shares its dashboard layout and cabin design with the ICE model. The bronze highlights on the centre console and AC vents distinguish the EV from its ICE sibling. In terms of features, the electric SUV packs two 10.25-inch displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. There’s support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, push-button start, rear AC vents, height-adjustable driver’s seat, and more. The top-spec variant adds auto-dimming IRVM, cooled and illuminated glove box, and illuminated sun visor with vanity mirrors to the feature list.

On the safety front, the XUV 3XO EV gets 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), cruise control, and a rear-view camera as standard features. The AX7L variant comes with a Level 2 ADAS package with functions like Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Protection, Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Forward Collision Warning, Auto Emergency Braking (Vehicle, Pedestrian, & Cyclist), High Beam Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, and Smart Pilot Assist.

Both variants of the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV are powered by a front-mounted single electric motor. This motor generates a maximum power output of 150hp and 310Nm of torque. These are the same numbers as the Mahindra XUV400 EV. The two variants of the XUV 3XO EV are equipped with a 39.4kWh battery. The automaker claims that it can go up to 285km on a single full charge. A 50kW DC fast charger takes up to 50 minutes to charge the SUV from 0 to 80%. There are 3 drive modes on offer – Fun, Fast and Fearless.

Mr Nalinikanth Gollagunta, Chief Executive Officer – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “The XUV 3XO rewrote the rules by bringing aspiration and accessibility together at scale. With the XUV 3XO EV, we are extending that winning proposition into electric mobility for customers who want an EV that simply fits their lives — day after day. The XUV 3XO EV has been engineered around real usage patterns, ensuring that it meets everyday mobility needs reliably. It combines instant electric performance with a package that is tuned for confidence and ease in city driving.”
