Mahindra Scorpio N Carbon Edition launched at Rs 19.19 lakh

The Mahindra Scorpio N Carbon Edition has been launched in India. Prices for the special edition SUV start at Rs 19.19 lakh and go up to Rs 24.89 lakh. The Carbon Edition is available in Z8 and Z8L trims. It demands a premium of Rs 20,000 over the regular variants. Buyers can opt for a petrol or diesel powertrain with the Carbon Edition.

The Carbon Edition of the Mahindra Scorpio N gets an all-black exterior theme. The chrome finish around the door handles, window side moulding, alloy wheels, and roof rails has been replaced by a black finish. No design changes have been made to the SUV’s exterior.

The all-black theme continues inside the SUV as well. The Mahindra Scorpio N Carbon Edition gets an all-black dashboard, leatherette upholstery, door trims, and roof liner. In terms of features, the SUV gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, Sony 3D immersive audio, 12-speakers with dual channel sub-woofer, leather-wrapped steering and gear lever, a rear parking camera, a push start button, passive keyless entry, built-in Alexa, and more.

Safety features include 6 airbags, driver drowsiness detection, an advanced seat restraint system, a collapsible steering system, an anti-lock braking system, a Penta-link rear suspension, and more.

The Mahindra Scorpio N Carbon Edition is available in two powertrain options – 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and 2.2-litre diesel. The petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 167hp while the diesel engine puts out 152hp. The SUV features intelligent 4Xplore terrain management technology, offering 4 modes – Tarmac, Snow, Mud and Desert, with the touch of a button.

Final Thoughts

Prices for the regular Mahindra Scorpio N lineup start at Rs 13.99 lakh and go up to Rs 24.89 lakh. It rivals the Dark and Stealth editions of Tata Safari and Harrier as well as other SUVs like MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos.
