Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e delivery rollout commences in India

Mahindra Electric has commenced the delivery rollout process for its two new SUVs in India – Mahindra BE 6 and Mahindra XEV 9e. The two electric SUVs were launched in November 2024. The booking window was opened on February 14, 2025. Mahindra garnered 30,179 bookings for the two SUVs on the first day of the booking window. The XEV 9e accounted for 56% of the bookings.

Mahindra BE 6 & XEV 9e: Now rolling out to customers

The top-spec Pack Three variants of the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e are now reaching customers. This will be followed by the rollout of the Pack Three Select and Pack Two variants in June and July respectively. Lastly, the Pack One and Pack One Above variants will reach the buyers in August.

The 59kWh battery variants of the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e produce a maximum power output of 231hp and 380Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 79kWh variants put out 286hp and 380Nm. The two SUVs are available in an RWD configuration only. Mahindra may add AWD variants down the line.

The 59kWh battery variants of the Mahindra BE 6 offer a driving range of 556km. Meanwhile, the larger 79kWh battery pack can go up to 682km on a full charge. The XEV 9e has a diminished driving range due to a heavier mass. Its 59kWh and 79kWh battery variants offer a driving range of 542km and 656km respectively. Using a 175kW DC fast charger, these battery packs can go from a 20% charge to 80% in just 20 minutes.

Mahindra BE 6 is available in the following colour options – Everest White, Everest White – Satin, Deep Forest, Tango Red, Desert Myst, Desert Myst – Satin, Firestorm Orange, and Stealth Black. Meanwhile, the XEV 9e gets the following paint shades – Everest White, Deep Forest, Tango Red, Nebula Blue, Desert Myst, Ruby Velvet, and Stealth Black.

Final Thoughts

The Mahindra BE6 range starts at Rs 18.90 lakh and goes up to Rs 26.90 lakh. It rivals the Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser EV. Meanwhile, prices for the XEV 9e start at Rs 21.90 lakh and go up to Rs 30.50 lakh. It will rival the Tata Harrier EV when it enters the market.
