Hyundai Venue gets a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP

The 2nd-gen Hyundai Venue has secured a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP. The SUV was launched in India back in November 2025 at a starting price of Rs 7.90 lakh. BNCAP conducted the crash test on the HX2 Diesel MT and HX10 Diesel AT variants of the Venue. The 5-star rating is valid for all variants of the midsize SUV.

Hyundai Venue: Bharat NCAP crash test results explained

The 2nd-gen Venue scored 31.15 points out of a possible 32 in the Adult Occupant Protection test. In the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier test, it garnered 15.15 points out of 16. Good protection was offered to the driver’s head, neck, pelvis, thighs, and feet. Meanwhile, the check and tibia were adequately protected. The passenger’s dummy showed good protection on the head, neck, chest, pelvis, thighs, and feet, and adequate protection on the tibia. In the Side Movable Deformable Barrier test, the SUV scored 16 points out of 16, showing good protection overall.

In the Child Occupant Protection test, the 2nd-gen Venue garnered 44.46 points out of 49. This included a Dynamic score of 23.46 points (out of 24), a CRS installation score of 12 points (out of 12), and a Vehicle assessment score of 9 points (out of 13). The SUV was crash tested with dummies for 18-month-old and 3-year-old children.

The 2nd-gen Hyundai Venue is equipped with safety features like 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers with reminders, disc brakes on all 4 wheels, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), an Electro Chromic Mirror (ECM) with telematics switches, Electronic stability control (ESC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Electric Parking Brake (EPB) with auto hold, a Surround View Monitor (SVM), a Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM), rollover sensor, and more. There is a Level 2 ADAS suite with 16 features on board.

Final Thoughts

Prices for the 2nd-gen Hyundai Venue start at Rs 7.99 lakh and go up to Rs 15.69 lakh. Earlier this month, it crossed the 1 lakh bookings milestone. The compact SUV rivals the Kia SonetTata NexonMahindra XUV 3XOSkoda KylaqMaruti Suzuki Fronx, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza in India.
