Hyundai Exter gets a Pro Pack, priced at Rs 7.98 lakh

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has introduced a new ‘Pro Pack’ for its compact SUV, Exter. Prices for the Pro Pack Hyundai Exter variants start at Rs 7.98 lakh. This pack is available on all variants from S+ to SX (O) Connect Knight. The EX, EX (O), S, and S Smart trims have not received this package. Apart from cosmetic upgrades, no changes have been made to the Pro Pack variants.

The Pro Pack elevates the styling of the Hyundai Exter by adding more muscular wheel arch cladding and a grey side sill garnish. Buyers opting for the Pro Pack get an additional colour option – Titan Grey Matte. Other than these updates, the Pro Pack carries no other changes.

The SX (O) AMT variant of the Hyundai Exter is now equipped with a dashcam. Previously, this feature was only available on the SX Tech and SX Connect variants. The SUV flaunts an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. The fully digital 4.2-inch instrument cluster comes with support for multiple Indian languages.

Hyundai Exter is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of 83hp and 114Nm of torque. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. In a CNG guise, the SUV puts out 69hp and 95.2Nm. The CNG variants are available with manual transmission only.

Final Thoughts

Prices for the standard Hyundai Exter lineup start at Rs 6.21 lakh and go up to Rs 10.51 lakh. The SUV rivals Tata PunchCitroen C3Toyota Urban Cruiser TaisorSkoda KylaqKia SonetRenault KigerNissan Magnite, and Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
