Citroen India has added an automatic variant to the C3 hatchback’s lineup after announcing it last month. The Citroen C3 Automatic is priced at Rs 10 lakh. Citroen is offering the automatic gearbox only with the top-spec Shine trim. Its price ranges between Rs 10 lakh – Rs 10.27 lakh. The hatchback was also updated with new features last month.

The new cosmetic features on the Citroen C3 hatchback include electrically adjustable OVRMs with integrated turn signal and projector LED headlamps. Inside, the hatchback gets automatic climate control and a digital instrument cluster. The power switches for the windows have been moved from the centre console to the doors. In terms of safety, the C3 hatchback now offers six airbags as standard across all variants.
The Citroen C3 also rocks a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, keyless entry, tilt-adjustable steering, and steering-mounted controls.
Things remain the same under the hood as the Citroen C3 continues to be offered in two powertrains – a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. The former produces a maximum power output of 81hp and 115Nm of torque. The latter churns out 109hp and 190Nm. Both engines can be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The turbo-petrol engine gets the new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The Citroen C3 range starts at Rs 6.16 lakh and goes up to Rs 10.27 lakh. There are a total of six variants on offer. The hatchback rivals the likes of Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
