BYD Sealion 7 First Anniversary Edition launched at Rs 49.40 lakh, bookings open

The BYD Sealion 7 completed its one-year cycle in India last month. To celebrate this occasion, the automaker has launched a special ‘First Anniversary’ edition of the electric SUV. The special edition is priced the same as the standard model. Interested buyers can book their model for a token amount of Rs 70,000. The first 1,100 buyers will receive special benefits.

Here is the price list for the First Anniversary edition of the BYD Sealion 7.

The First Anniversary edition of the Sealion 7 gets a special ‘Tahiti Blue’ interior colour theme. No other changes, cosmetic or otherwise, have been made to the SUV. BYD has announced that the first 1,100 customers will get a complimentary 2-year service and maintenance package and a complimentary 11kW home charger with free installation.

The BYD Sealion 7 packs a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, a free-floating digital instrument cluster, and a heads-up display. It supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and heated seating, 12 Dynaudio speakers, 50W wireless charging, ambient lighting with 128 colour options, premium quilted Nappa leather seats, and more. On the safety front, the SUV gets a 360-degree camera, 11 airbags, and an ADAS package. The Premium and Performance come with the same set of features.

What separates the two variants is the mechanical output. The entry-level Premium variant has an RWD configuration, while the AWD tech is available on the top-spec Performance variant. The former generates a maximum power output of 313hp and 380Nm of torque. It can go from 0-100kmph in 6.7 seconds. Meanwhile, the top-spec Performance variant puts out 530hp and 690Nm. It can go from 0-100kmph in just 4.5 seconds. Both variants are equipped with an 82.56kWh battery pack. The Premium variant has a driving range of 567km, while the Performance variant can go up to 542km on a full charge.

The First Anniversary Edition celebrates this journey while bringing additional value to our customers. With exclusive benefits for the first 1100 customers only and enhanced ownership advantages such as the 8-year Low Voltage Battery warranty, we aim to make premium electric mobility even more compelling for Indian consumers.”

Final Thoughts

Since its launch in February 2025, the BYD Sealion 7 has sold over 2,500 units in India. It was introduced at a starting price of Rs 48.90 lakh and received a Rs 1 lakh price hike in January 2026. The electric SUV rivals the Tesla Model YKia EV6Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Volvo EX40 in India.
