Maruti Suzuki has revealed the next-gen Dzire sedan ahead of its scheduled launch on November 11. The 4th-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire is currently open for bookings. Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Everything you need to know

Maruti has revamped the design of the 4th-gen Dzire, giving it a completely different look than the Swift hatchback. The front fascia of the sedan looks nothing like its hatchback sibling. The LED headlamps on the Dzire are sleeker and have crystal-like elements, earning them the name ‘crystal vision headlamps’. The hexagonal grille is bigger than the one on the outgoing version. It features six horizontal slats. A piano black trim with a chrome finish runs along the top of this grille. The fog lamps also receive minor design tweaks.

Along the sides, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire has a gentle roofline that flows seamlessly into the boot, giving it the unmistakable sedan look. The top-spec variants get diamond-cut alloy wheels. The design of the alloy wheels has been changed for the sedan. At the back, the Dzire gets Y-shaped LED tail lamps that are connected by a chrome bar. The sedan stands at dimensions of 3,995mm x 1,735mm x 1,525mm, making it 10mm taller than the outgoing variant. It has a 2,450mm wheelbase and clears the ground at 163mm.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire shares its interior layout with the Swift hatchback. The only difference lies in the shading and cosmetic elements. The Dzire’s dashboard has 4 shades while the Swift has a simple dual-tone scheme. You can also find wood and aluminium finishes throughout Dzire’s interior. In terms of features, the sedan packs a 9-inch free-floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Android CarPlay, rear AC vents, cruise control, a 360-degree camera, a single-pane sunroof, and more.

Inside, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is powered by the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, Z12E petrol engine as the Swift. This engine produces a maximum power output of 80hp and 112Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. On the Swift, this engine offers a mileage of 25.75kmpl.

The current-gen Dzire range starts at Rs 6.57 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.39 lakh. Upon launch, the compact sedan will rival the Tata Tigor, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze.
