2024 Kia Carnival launched in India at Rs 63.90 lakh

Kia India has launched the Carnival MPV in India at Rs 63.90 lakh. The MPV was pulled from the Indian market in 2023 due to its failure to comply with the new emission norms. The automaker has now re-launched the updated version of the SUV. The current-gen Kia Carnival was revealed globally in October 2023 and is being brought to India via the CBU route. Bookings for the MPV have been open since September 16.

The MPV features a wide ‘Tiger Nose’ grille up front which is flanked on both sides by Intelligent Ice Cube LED Projection Headlamps (ILED) and Starmap Daytime Running Lights (SDRL). Along the sides, the MPV rests on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The tail lamps mimic the design of the DRLs and are connected by a light bar.

Inside, the Kia Carnival gets dual 12.3-inch displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. It also gets a 12-speaker Bose sound system, an 11-inch advanced Heads-Up display, 64-colour ambient mood lighting, tilt & telescopic steering wheel, automatic anti-glare IVRM, automatic temperature control, wireless charging, and more. The MPV can seat 7 people in a 2 + 2 + 3 layout. The captain seats in the middle row are equipped with heating, ventilation, and leg support functions.

The Kia Carnival is equipped with a Level 2 ADAS package which consists 23 autonomous features including Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Front Collision Warning, Smart Cruise Control with Stop/ Go, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Follow Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind-spot Collision Warning & Avoidance Assist, Rear-cross Traffic Collision Warning & Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, High Beam Assist, and more.

Powering the Kia Carnival is a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine. This engine generates a maximum power output of 193hp and 441Nm of torque. It can be paired with an 8-speed torque converter gearbox. In comparison, the Carnival that was discontinued last year produced 186hp and 440Nm.
