Xiaomi is showcasing Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Edition in India

The Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi today introduced the Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Edition. This 2 wheeler is a follow-up Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 that was launched last year. The vehicle is similar to the first two-wheeled self-balancing scooter however this is a special edition electric vehicle that has been introduced to celebrate the success of Mi India 7th anniversary. The EV is now being showcased across Mi Homes in the country. It features a 600W motor and comes with smart app connectivity features.

Xiaomi’s Mi India today showcased the premium Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Edition. As per the company, the gadget is an officially licensed product of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, and it showcases the brand’s commitment to creating unique products that offer the perfect combination of utility, design and craftsmanship. Speaking of the design this electric two-wheeler comes with a foldable design which makes the gadget portable and can be carried around easily. It only takes 3 seconds to fold it together. It weighs 14.2 kg and is made of low-density, high-strength aerospace-grade aluminium alloy material. It is capable of carrying a max load of up to 100 kg at once.

The Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Edition highlights a simple-line AMG edition paint job and carries an aerodynamic design that resembles a sports car. The electric scooter is powered by a 600W electric motor in an Aviation Aluminum Alloy Frame body. Additionally, there is a dual-brake setup with the E-ABS brake on the front and a disk brake on the rear for additional safety. The Mi electric scooter also includes a multifunctional control panel that comes with smart app connectivity and displays real-time data such as speed, drive mode, power lock status and other driving information at a glance.

The Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Edition comes with 3 driving modes that include walking, drive and sports mode that allows speed control. The two-wheeler can run up to at a maximum speed of 25 km/hr, and a full charge provides its power for up to 45 kilometres in range. There are 8.5-inch tires on both front and rear that are shock-absorbing and inflatable.

We for one were waiting for its lunch in India. However it is not launching here, but just being showcased, which is a bit disheartening.
