Skoda Kylaq gets a Sportline variant with prices starting at Rs 11.32 lakh

Skoda India has added a new mid-spec variant to the Kylaq SUV’s lineup. Prices for the new Skoda Kylaq ‘Sportline’ start at Rs 11.32 lakh and go up to Rs 12.32 lakh. It is available in MT and AT gearbox options. The Sportline variant is positioned between the Signature+ and Prestige trims of the Kylaq. It gets blacked-out highlights outside and inside.

Skoda Kylaq Sportline: What’s on offer?

Here are the prices for the Sportline variants of the Skoda Kylaq.

Skoda’s ‘Sportline’ offerings are known for their smokier, darker highlights. The Kylaq Sportline gets the dark-shade treatment on its ORVMs, 17-inch alloys, bumper skid plates, roof rails, and the ‘SKODA’ lettering between the tail lamps. The SUV also comes with a roof-mounted spoiler. The C-pillar and tailgate get exclusive Sportline badging. The LED fog lamps have a cornering function. Instead of reflector LED headlamps, the Sportline variant gets projector LED headlamps, making it the cheapest Kylaq variant with this feature.

The cabin of the Kylaq Sportline features dark elements on the leatherette seating, door trims, roof, and dashboard. There’s Sportline branding on the headrests. The dark theme is complemented by white ambient lighting. The pedals have an aluminium finish. The dashboard houses a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The driver’s cockpit has an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. There’s Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity on board. Other features an electric sunroof, an automatic air conditioning system, a 6-speaker sound system, wireless charging, and more.

Things remain the same under the hood, as the Skoda Kylaq Sportline continues to be powered by the 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine. It generates a maximum power output of 115hp and 178Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV can go from 0 to 100 kph in just 10.5 seconds. Its top speed is capped at 188km/h.

Final Thoughts

The Skoda Kylaq range now spans 7 variants – Classic, Classic+, Signature, Signature+, Sportline, Prestige, and Prestige+. Its prices start at Rs 7.59 lakh and go up to Rs 12.99 lakh. It rivals Hyundai VenueMahindra XUV 3XOMaruti Suzuki BrezzaTata Nexon, and Kia Sonet in India.
