Mercedes Maybach SL 680 launched in India at Rs 4.20 crore

The Mercedes Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 4.20 crore. The luxury roadster was launched globally in 2024. In India, it is available in 2 design concepts – Red Ambience and White Ambience. Mercedes has started accepting bookings for the roadster. Only three units have been allocated for the Indian market.

Mercedes Maybach SL 680: Everything you need to know

The Mercedes Maybach SL 680 has a wide chrome radiator grille with illuminated vertical slats. The front bumper has a horizontal air intake and the headlamps have rose gold accents. The long bonnet is finished in Obsidian Black and flaunts the Maybach logo. Buyers can also choose to have this logo embossed on the soft-top fabric roof. The chrome signature star stands at attention on the hood.

Along the sides, the luxury roadster rests on 21-inch forged wheels. The 36 spokes on the wheels are connected to the star emblem in the middle. The door handles and front fenders have chrome elements while a sleek chrome strip runs between the two wheels. The Mercedes Maybach SL 680 is 4,697mm long and 1,915mm wide.

Inside, the Mercedes Maybach SL 680 flaunts Nappa leather upholstery. The steering wheel has the Mercedes logo at the centre and Maybach lettering at the bottom. The roadster seats four people. It features an 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. The touchscreen is voice-controlled and runs the MBUX OS.

Under the hood, the Mercedes Maybach SL 680 is powered by the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of 585hp and 800Nm of torque. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The roadster is available with an All Wheel Drive configuration. It can go from 0-100kmph in 4.1 seconds. The top speed is capped at 260kmph.

The SL 680 Monogram Series joins the S 680 Night Series, GLS 600 Night Series, GLS, EQS SUV, EQS 680 Night Series, and S 580 Limousine in Maybach’s India portfolio. It rivals the Bentley Continental GT Convertible and Bentley Mulliner.
