Maruti Suzuki will capture the fleet market yet again with the Tour S

Maruti Suzuki will rebadge the 3rd-gen Dzire and retail it as the Tour S in India. While the upcoming 4th-gen Dzire will be available to private buyers only, the Tour S will go on sale for commercial fleet buyers. This has been the automaker’s strategy for the last several years. Out of the 1.60 lakh Dzire units sold last year, 60,000 were Tour S.

Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming 4th-gen Dzire will sport a completely new design compared to its outgoing version and the Swift hatchback. The sedan sports a wide grille with horizontal slats and a chrome finish. The LED headlamps are sleeker and have crystal-like elements. The design of the fog lamps has been tweaked as well. The Dzire retains its profile but gets new LED tail lamps It stands at dimensions of 3,995mm x 1,735mm x 1,525mm, making it 10mm taller than the outgoing variant.

It packs a 9-inch free-floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Android CarPlay, rear AC vents, cruise control, a 360-degree camera, a single-pane sunroof, and more. The distinguishing feature between the interior of the Dzire and Swift is the colour scheme.

Under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is powered by the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, Z12E petrol engine as the Swift. This engine produces a maximum power output of 80hp and 112Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. On the Swift, this engine offers a mileage of 25.75kmpl.
