Kia Syros is set to launch in India on February 1. The compact SUV was revealed globally in December and its booking window was opened earlier this month. Ahead of the launch, Kia has revealed the fuel efficiency numbers for the 2 engine options available with the Syros. The SUV is available in diesel and petrol powertrains. The mileage specs are ARAI-rated.

The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine powering the Kia Syros offers a mileage of 18.2kmpl with the 6-speed manual transmission and 17.68kmpl with the 7-speed automatic gearbox. This engine produces a maximum power output of 120hp and 172Nm of torque.
Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel engine offers a mileage of 20.75kmpl with the 6-speed manual transmission and 17.65kmpl with the 6-speed torque converter gearbox. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 115hp and 250Nm of torque.
In terms of features, the Kia Syros packs a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and another 12.3-inch display for the digital instrument cluster. There is also a 5-inch display onboard for the climate control system. The three screens put together are called the Trinity Panoramic Display. Other features of the SUV include an 8-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, a 4-way powered front seat, seat ventilation, reclining and sliding second-row seats, 64-colour ambient mood lighting, wireless charging, and more.
In terms of safety features, Kia Syros offers 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Management, Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, a 360-degree camera, and more. The Level 2 ADAS package offered with the SUV consists of features like Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, 360 Degree Camera with Blind View Monitor and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go. The Bharat NCAP crash test results of the SUV will come out in the next few weeks.

Kia Syros is available in 6 trim levels – HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and HTX+(O). There are 8 colour options on offer – Glacier White Pearl, Imperial Blue, Aurora Black Pearl, Frost Blue, Pewter Olive, Sparkling Silver, Intense Red, and Gravity Grey. Buyers can book their units for a token of Rs 25,000. We expect the SUV to be priced at Rs 9 lakh. Upon launch, it will rival Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Tata Nexon.
