Kia India extends GST benefits to customers

Kia India has announced that it will pass forward the benefits received under the new GST 2.0 structure to its customers. These benefits are applicable to the automaker’s ICE portfolio only. The revised prices will come into effect on September 22, 2025. The Carnival SUV has received the highest benefits, worth up to Rs 4,48,542. Other automakers like Mahindra Auto, Honda Car India, Citroen, Hyundai, and more have also decided to extend the GST benefits to their customers.

Commenting on the announcement, Mr Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO of Kia India, said, “We welcome the Government of India’s visionary citizen-centric reforms to reduce the GST on passenger vehicles. This transformative measure represents a progressive and timely decision towards making vehicle purchase more affordable for consumers and bringing a boost to the automotive sector growth. In line with this vision, we are proud to pass on the full benefit of the GST rate reductions to our customers, ensuring more affordability and greater accessibility.”

He further added, “This significant reform simplifies the taxation framework and reinforces the government’s commitment to sustainable economic growth and innovative mobility solutions. We are confident this move will energize consumer sentiment and drive demand during the upcoming festive season.”

Kia Seltos

Kia is currently gearing up to launch the next-generation model of the Seltos SUV. Its test mules have been spotted on road tests on multiple occasions. The new model will be dimensionally identical to the current one. However, it will get plenty of cosmetic and design upgrades. Kia may choose to equip it with the Trinity panoramic display that’s found in the Syros. No changes will be made under the hood of the SUV.

As we mentioned earlier, the revised prices will come into effect on September 22, 2025. Buyers can pre-book their cars at the revised prices right now. With the festive season approaching soon, the demand for deliveries will surge rapidly.
